• Climate:
  It is because Lijiang is in the Hengduan mountains of south China that its climate vertical distribution obviously. Although Lijiang is in the plateau and the mountains are covered with snow all the year, it rains a lot and the dry wet season is very clear. The annual average temperature is in 12. 6 ~ 19.8 ℃. The hottest month’s average temperature is in 18.1～25.7℃. In contrast, the coldest month’s average temperature is in 1.7～4℃. The local 5 temperature is warm and cool alternated, with no drastic change between summer and winter. But there is obvious demarcation between dry and wet season. The annual average rainfall is 1000mm or so, 5~10 months for rainy season, especially in July and August. The annual solar radiation is very strong because it is in the area of low latitude plateau. If you want to travel to Lijiang, you had better choose the seasons of September and October because autumn is the most beautiful season in Lijiang. The weather is very good, the sky very clear and the colorful flowers and trees flourish, flowing streams from the snow mountains into local people’s houses, so clear, cool and refreshing.
