  Fanpu Farm (凡朴农场) is an organic farm with the themes of permaculture and aquaponics, on the Chengdu plain, less than a hour drive from Chengdu city, near the edge of the western Sichuan highlands. On a clear day, you can see the snow-capped mountains to the west. The farm is near the famous and culturally rich Anren ancient town. Our farm has an aquaponics system housed inside a large greenhouse, as well as organic vegetable fields, rice fields, grape vines and fruit trees. In addition to the fish in the aquaponics system, we raise a few goats, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. The farm also has facilities used for hosting programs for kids and families, including outdoor kitchen areas, a cafe with bakery area, and a pottery studio. A lot of effort has been put into beautification of the farm, including displaying the work of the farm's resident artist.

  Work you can participate in on the farm includes: gardening (planting, weeding, composting, harvesting, plowing), feeding animals, helping with programs for kids and families, baking, ceramics, woodworking, landscaping, permaculture design, traditional food processing, etc. Based on your interests and the situation at the time you come, we will make an appropriate plan for your work. You are expected to work about 4-6 hours per day. We have private rooms for wwoofers to stay in. We provide spring water for drinking, and delicious family-style meals made with produce from the farm. Wireless internet is available in common areas. For longer term wwoofers, we can take you on some excursions such as hiking in the mountains. We welcome you to come to our farm!
