How to join WWOOF China
Send an online Application Form by clicking on the link "WWOOFer Application" on the left side of this page. DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU TYPE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS IN CORRECTLY (If you type in an incorrect e-mail address, you will NOT receive the requisite confirmation e-mail, and will therefore not be able to complete your application).  As part of the online Application, you will be given options to pay. At this time, there are two payment options, credit card, and PayPal. Cost of membership for one year is US$40 (or equivalent in other currencies; credit card & PayPal payments will automatically convert to your home currency just as happens when you go shopping overseas). We have about twenty hosts now, and are adding hosts as quickly as we can.
Once you have sent your online Application Form & your payment, you will receive by e-mail your own User Name & Password immediately, to allow you to view all WWOOF China Hosts online via our website. Then, you are free contact the places you want to go to, to make plans, and go!!

What is WWOOF China?
WWOOF China is an exchange program where all meals, accommodation and genuine learning & experience are given to the visitor (the WWOOFer) in return for him or her helping the Host with the work they do for about 5 hours a day. WWOOFers can stay as long or as short a time as they can make arrangements with Hosts to do so. There is NO money exchanged between WWOOFer and Host. WWOOFing is about the exchange of food and boarding for assistance with work, and learning, experience and friendship for all concerned. A cultural exchange in which WWOOFers live and work as family with Hosts, and learn about whatever it is the Host does, the surrounding area, the language and culture, and more. Get below the veneer of tourism and have genuine and new experiences with the locals and and the work they do, society and culture.

How much does it cost to join WWOOF China?
$40 US dollars, or equivalent in other currencies. We denominate the fee to join in US dollars for convenience sake. We welcome members from the UK, other parts of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and all over the world.

What methods of payment do you accept?
At this time we accept only payments by credit card, or by PayPal. Payments will automatically convert to your home currency just as happens when you go shopping overseas.  In future we will accept payments by bank transfer and through the post.

How do I pay?
You will be prompted to pay as part of the online Application.

How many Hosts do you have?
We have about twenty hosts now, and are adding hosts as quickly as we can.

How long after I send an online Application & Payment will it take before I can get membership info?
Once you have sent your online Application Form & your payment, you will receive by e-mail your own User Name & Password immediately, to allow you to view all WWOOF China Hosts online via our website. Then, you are free contact the places you want to go to, to make plans, and go!!

Lost ID and / or password
On the WWOOF China website, click on the link on the left "WWOOFer Login".  Then, a separate window will open where you are to type in your ID and Password.  But if you have lost you ID and Password, then, type in the e-mail address you used to join WWOOF China, or, your ID in the box provided, and click "Get Password".  Your ID and Password will then be automatically sent to you by e-mail.  If have done this, you find you do not receive the e-mail containing your ID and Password, the reason will be because you have not typed in the e-mail address you used when you joined us.

 I sent an online Application Form, but then nothing happened??!!
This happens when you type in an incorrect e-mail address.  So, to solve the problem, you need to begin again and send a new online Application Form.  Be SURE to check that the e-mail address you type in is your CORRECT e-mail address.

Visas
You must make your own visa arrangements. You should not join WWOOF China as a means to getting a visa. WWOOF China and WWOOF China hosts will not assist with visa matters. Most people from outside China come WWOOFing using a normal tourist visa.
